Ava Lena D. Waldman, MHS/CCRP/PMP

PL Expansion Manager

“I am a public health professional with a focus on digital health interventions, clinical research coordination and project management.  I deliver technical assistance to organizations implementing mHealth platforms that improve engagement with care for people with chronic health conditions. I work closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to provide high levels of support to organizations implementing PositiveLinks (PL), a mHealth platform that supports engagement in HIV care, and its adaptations for other health conditions in domestic and international settings.

Prior to joining the research team at the University of Virginia developing PL, I managed HIV/AIDS education, prevention, and treatment programs at organizations on both coasts of the US.  My passion is in delivering evidence-based, person-centered interventions that address challenges to living well with HIV when and where people need it. As warm technology – PL is a mHealth tool that delivers needed resources transmitted with the care of the human layer.
